I’ve always, always, always loved Waldorf Salad. There’s just something about the combination of flavors that makes my taste buds soar each and every time!
However, over the years, I’ve made a few tweaks to the “classic” Waldorf…namely by adding cinnamon and yogurt. They just seemed like perfect additions to me. After all, how can you have apples, raisins, and walnuts and NOT include cinnamon?!
That’s just crazy talk!!
So, now, dear NOMsters I share my simple, yummy concoction with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do! <3
Cinnamon Yogurt Waldorf Salad
Ingredients:
- Yogurt (plain) - 12 oz.
- Honey (raw) - 2 tsp.
- Cinnamon (ground) - 1-2 tsp.
- Apples (Gala) - 4 large, cored and chopped
- Celery - 3 ribs (leaves removed), sliced
- Raisins - 1/3 cup
- Lemons - Juice of 1/2
- Walnuts - 1/2 cup, chopped and toasted
Instructions:
In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, honey, and cinnamon.
Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl, and toss until evenly coated.
That's all there is to it!
