I love Navitas Naturals!
Why? Well, for one thing they provide tons of healthy goodies that you can easily add to smoothies, frozen yogurt, snack bars, oatmeal…anything, really!
But, perhaps even more importantly, they work hard to ensure that they use socially and environmentally responsible business practices. They source their foods through direct partnerships with farming communities around the world. In this way, they are able to create economic opportunities among people in developing countries. This support of native agriculture helps to further the development of global organic farming practices. Plus, all of their foods are completely free of additives and trans-fats. Yay!!
So, you imagine how excited I was when they sent me a box of goodies to review!!
I decided to start with their Blueberry Hemp Superfood Power Snack.
We absolutely love any and all berries, and we use hemp seeds all the time in our smoothies. So, I had a feeling that I would love these snacks!
I’m happy to say that I was right!
You may notice the bag says “bite-sized goodness.” That definitely describes these little gems to a T! It probably goes without saying that if you like blueberries, you will like these yummy snacks! But the other prominent flavor that stood out to me was the raw sunflower seeds. YUM! Fellow sunflower seed lovers: rejoice! 😉 The hubby said that some of the texture reminded him of fig as well. I didn’t notice that as much…but I think it was probably the dates combined with the chia seeds that he was tasting.
Not only are they super yummy, but they also aren’t kidding when they call them power snacks! They may look like pretty small squares, but they are super filling and kept me energized through the late afternoon lull that can hit us all from time to time.
As with all Navitas Naturals’ products, the ingredients are completely REAL and unprocessed. In fact, they are so simple that they’ve definitely inspired me to try some new flavor combos with my own homemade snack bars!

The Cliff Notes version?
Maca root is a highly nutrient-dense whole food. It is packed with vitamins, plant sterols, many essential minerals, amino acids, and healthy fats. As such, it has been shown to increase stamina, boost libido, and combat stress and fatigue — making it truly an energy food!
Lucuma is the sweet and edible fruit of the Lucuma tree. Lucuma lends a sweet taste to recipes, but is very low in sugars. With naturally occurring beta-carotene, niacin, and iron, lucuma powder makes for an excellent whole-fruit sweetener! I love using date sugar for this same reason: the fact that I am getting all the nutrients of a whole fruit. I will definitely be adding Lucuma to my mix of sweeteners now, too! 🙂
Maqui berries offer more antioxidants than any discovered fruit – with a particularly high potency of flavonoids, such as anthocyanins and polyphenols. Plus, they are a great source of vitamin C, calcium, iron, and potassium.
The small, red Camu berry contains a higher naturally occurring vitamin C content than any other food on the planet! In fact, it contains thirty to sixty times more vitamin C than an orange! Not only that, but Camu also contains many other important nutritional elements — such as a broad range of antioxidants, phytochemicals, and amino acids, as well as many vitamins and minerals, like beta-carotene and potassium.
Needless to say, I definitely plan on purchasing some of these super-healthy, energizing foods to add even more variety not only to my aforementioned snack bars, but to my smoothies and frozen yogurt, too!
What about you? Have you tried any of Navitas Naturals snacks? Do you have a favorite??
Cool 🙂 I’ve seen them in the Health Food store, but have been reluctant to buy them thinking I’d be tempted to eat 2 or 3 at a time and the bag would be gone in about 3 days! It’s nice to know they pack a punch.
I thought the same thing! They were way more filling than I expected! I’d like to buy some of there superfood powders and then try making my own….I think it would be much more cost-efficient that way! Plus, then I can add the powder to smoothies, too! 🙂
