There’s just something about homemade dressings that the hubby and I both simply can’t get enough of! Seriously, a good dressing can completely transform a salad from pretty good to must-devour-nowwwwww.
Recently, I shared my Lemon Rosemary Vinaigrette recipe with a friend, and it reminded me that it had been way too long since I’d tried out a new dressing combo. We just so happened to have some delicious maple syrup on hand…which then led to me raiding the fridge for whatever I could get my hands on that just might equal greatness when joining forces with maple syrup.
And, thus, this liquid gold was born!
Maple Dijon Vinaigrette
Ingredients:
- Olive oil (extra virgin) - 1/2 cup
- Maple syrup (pure, Grade B) - 1-2 T, according to taste
- Mustard (Dijon) - 1 T
- Limes - Juice of one
- Garlic (fresh) - 2 cloves, peeled and chopped
- Thyme (fresh) - 1 handful of leaves
- Salt (pure) - pinch or two
- Red pepper (crushed) - pinch
Instructions:
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor, and mix until well combined.
Drizzle on top of your favorite salad! That's all there is to it! :)
Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container. When you are ready to savor the deliciousness again, simply bring the dressing back to room temperature and shake well before serving.
